I make things happen
My work as a journalist, editor and videographer has meant a lot of field work, making production offices out of rental cars, bodged together fixes for equipment and seat-of-the pants interviews.
I'm meticulous when I plan a project, a shoot or an interview and effective when things go awry.
My work has appeared on VICE News, ABC News, CBC, the Arizona Capital Times and elsewhere. I've been a producer and production assistant on numerous documentary projects and led a 360 video and virtual reality (3D) project in Chile in 2016 for VICE News and the International Reporting Program. I was a Carnegie-Knight News21 fellow in 2016.
I've worked as a radio producer in daily news and current affairs at CBC Radio and was a copy editor and social media manager at the Waterloo Region Record.
I have a Masters in Journalism from the UBC Graduate School of Journalism.
